Good Shepherd Ministries International
This is Dr. Berin Gilfillan, founder and president of the largest video Bible School in the world called the International School of Ministry (ISOM). The registered IRS entity that oversees the ISOM is called Good Shepherd Ministries, International (GSMI). GSMI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
corporation that has been operating in the USA and around the world for 33 years. ISOM’s website is https://isom.org/.
Currently ISOM has started over 20,000 training centers in 150 nations and in more that 85 languages. One of the countries of schools and distribution was Kuwait and the ISOM Director in Kuwait from 2003 to July 2020 was Pastor Jose Martin Urquico Banting.
During that time of 2003 to 2020, the Kuwait ISOM center, under the leadership of Pastor Banting, graduated over 1,000 students from various language groups (including Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Nepalese, Malayalam, Tagalog, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu) and Pastor Martin worked cooperatively with many different churches. Additionally, during a number of those years, Rev. Banting helped oversee other parts of the Middle East Region for the ISOM program, covering Lebanon, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, and even Nepal.
I was excited recently to discover that Pastor Banting was relocating to British Columbia, Canada and working to establish a new church “Hosanna Promise Christian Community Church International.” Rev. Banting is not only an outstanding pastor with a broad appeal to many nationalities, but he is an excellent administrator and a person of sound moral character. In 17 years of working with him, there was never a moment when we had any issues with his personal integrity. He is also a person who highly respects authority and who brings people together in a way that reflects Christian values. I have no hesitation in endorsing him and allowing him to use our name and reference on his website. He has my full backing and recommendation
